Rune tea set designed by Jens H. Quistgaard for Kronjyden Nissen. This set was designed in the 1960s and made in Denmark. A lovely set consisting of a teapot, milk jug, 3 cups and 5 plates. All in perfect condition and it seems that this set has barely been used.Â
Quistgaard designed the Rune series in 1960 for the Danish stoneware manufacturer Kronjyden Nissen. They produced this series until 1972 whereafter production was taken over by Bing & GrĂžndahl. This is why it's possible to find the Rune series with different makers marks. This set is from the early production by Kronjyden Nissen as can be seen by their signature on the bottom of every piece.
